Regulatory Compliance Officer Trainee

The role of Regulatory Compliance Officer Trainee offers a unique opportunity to begin a career in regulatory compliance and enforcement. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Compliance Team, assisting with site inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities.
This traineeship combines structured workplace learning with formal training to complete a Certificate IV in Local Government. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in regulatory compliance, land use planning, development, or construction.
About This Role- Provide administrative support to the Compliance Team.
- Assist with site inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities.
- Learn how to apply legislation such as the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Local Government Act 1993.
- Respond to enquiries and complaints, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Participate in a 1-year traineeship that combines practical experience with formal study.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and provide data analysis to inform compliance decisions.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Collaborate with other teams to achieve compliance outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
