Job Description

We are seeking motivated Parking Patrol Officers to join our Community Standards Department. In this role, you will assist with monitoring, patrolling, and enforcing parking across both on‑street locations and Council‑managed car parks.

You will play an important role in supporting the community, building positive relations, encouraging legal parking while providing excellent customer service.

  • An understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles and a commitment to applying them in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance functions within Local Government or a related field.
  • Experience preparing evidence and reports for legal matters will be highly regarded.
  • Experience interpreting and applying legislation will be highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and customer service.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of technical knowledge, sound judgement and strong people skills.

Benefits of Working at LCC
  • Salary will be dependent on the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant within the specified range.
  • Ability to access 2 health and wellbeing days per year.
  • Be part of a passionate, energetic, and supportive multi-disciplinary team.
  • Great office location in the heart of the Liverpool CBD, close to public transport and with subsidised parking available.
  • Professional development opportunities, including training courses and study assistance for further education.
