Maintenance Operations Lead

This key role involves overseeing the efficient management of maintenance work on rollingstock at our Melbourne facility, ensuring seamless performance and adherence to industry standards. As a trusted leader, you will be responsible for directing a skilled workforce to maintain high-quality standards, meeting quality requirements and schedules while fostering a culture of excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the organization and direction of maintenance teams to meet operational demands.
  • Oversee the coordination of plant, equipment, and tools to optimize facility performance.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance progress, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Interface with various departments to ensure smooth facility operations.
  • Develop strategic initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Possess relevant trade qualifications (electrical or mechanical).
  • Demonstrate track safety awareness and a strong understanding of rail industry standards.
  • Hold 8+ years of experience in rollingstock maintenance.
  • Hold a satisfactory pass of Rail Safety Medical examination.
  • Display flexibility in working hours and a genuine interest in the rail industry.
