About the RoleIn this dynamic leadership position, you will oversee operations in our state-of-the-art factory and head office. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will have a unique chance to direct and optimize manufacturing processes within a large-scale, complex environment.
The successful candidate will foster a safety-first culture, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and develop manufacturing best practices. This is a full-time permanent position requiring strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities- Direct daily operations to achieve production targets while ensuring compliance with quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Promote a safety-first culture by leading root cause investigations on safety incidents.
- Develop department Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct regular audits.
- Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering accountability, engagement, and collaboration.
- Oversee costs related to production consumables, energy consumption, labor overtime, etc.
- Drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement methodologies throughout the Production process.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Support the organisation's commitment to quality and environmental standards.
- Ensure available headcount and trained shift resources are aligned with company capacity plans.
- Minimum 5 years' Production Management experience in a high-volume multi-shift facility.
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.
- Strong experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proven ability to drive change and drive team accountability.
- Experience in department budgeting, rostering, and training.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Understanding of relevant safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Achievement of high standards in ethics, values, and company culture.
