About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Educator to join our team at Central Adelaide Local Health Network. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing practice within the framework of the National Mental Health Policy and National Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive educational programs, training sessions, and learning materials to support nursing and midwifery practice.
  • Utilize clinical knowledge and experience to provide targeted education and training support across various wards, units, and community programs.
  • Take accountability for the effectiveness of nursing education practices and actively address any inconsistencies between practice and policy.
  • Coordinate projects and initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes and service delivery.

About You

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Nurse Educator who meets the following key requirements:

  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least three years' experience and a qualification in mental health nursing (equivalent to a Graduate Diploma).
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and foster a supportive, collaborative workplace.
  • Educational Expertise: Experience in developing and delivering educational programs, with strong presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Clinical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mental health nursing practices, national competencies, and legislative responsibilities in healthcare.
