About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Educator to join our team at Central Adelaide Local Health Network. As a key member of our mental health services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing practice within the framework of the National Mental Health Policy and National Standards.

In this dynamic position, you will utilise your clinical knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive support services to nursing and midwifery practice. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering a range of educational programs, training sessions, and learning materials, ensuring our nursing workforce is equipped with the latest skills and knowledge.

With a focus on enhancing consumer outcomes, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and positivity in the workplace. You will take accountability for the effectiveness of nursing education practices and actively address any inconsistencies between practice and policy.

About You

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse with at least three years' experience and a qualification in mental health nursing (equivalent to a Graduate Diploma). You will have proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and foster a supportive, collaborative workplace.

You will have experience in developing and delivering educational programs, with strong presentation skills for diverse audiences. You will also have an in-depth understanding of mental health nursing practices, national competencies, and legislative responsibilities in healthcare.
