About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Stantec's established and expanding team as a Business Leader, responsible for the business operations in the Canberra region. As a key member of the Business Centre Operating Leader's team, you will be responsible for driving the business forward, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Business Centre Operating Leader to prepare annual business plans and budgets, and drive the implementation of strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead the continuous improvement and effective management of operational areas within the region, focusing on resource management, utilisation, overhead control, and gross margin management.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve net revenue, gross margin, G&A, operating income, and backlog targets from within the region and as a collective across the Business Centre.
  • Partner with Business Leaders to drive collaboration and work-sharing across the Business Centre to meet overall utilisation targets.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership, financial management, and consulting.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships, leading to repeat work and business growth.
  • Sound understanding of contracts and commercial arrangements on projects, with the ability to resolve issues and negotiate effectively.
  • Minimum of 10 years' related work experience, leadership, financial management, and consulting experience.
