Senior Maintenance Engineer

The role of Senior Maintenance Engineer is crucial for ensuring the optimal functioning of our facilities. This position oversees daily maintenance operations, provides technical expertise, and drives improvements in Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) across all fixed plant equipment.

Responsibilities include rapid fault resolution, efficient execution of maintenance tasks, and continuous support to frontline maintenance teams. To achieve this, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all site safety systems, statutory requirements, and company standards;
  • Support engineering design reviews and contribute to project scopes;
  • Provide direct technical support during equipment breakdowns to reduce MTTR;
  • Liaise with planners, supervisors, and trades to ensure timely and quality repairs;
  • Review and verify corrective maintenance activities and technical reports;
  • Coordinate contractor activities for critical equipment repairs;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence;
  • Initiative and drive for continuous improvement;
  • Collaboration and teamwork in multi-disciplinary environments;
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation practices;
  • Able to prioritize tasks in high-pressure operational environments;
  • Safety-focused with a strong understanding of risk management in maintenance activities;
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-paced environment;

  • Team leadership and mentoring capability;
