About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and culturally sensitive Client Services Coordinator to join our team at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service. As a key member of our administration team, you will provide exceptional client service and support to our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a friendly and culturally competent service at Reception, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage client data and maintain accurate records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist with document production, including completing online applications and preparing correspondence.
  • Provide operational support, including dealing with clients, visitors, service providers, and arranging repairs and cleaning services.
  • Contribute to a safe and secure work environment, adhering to ATSILS policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Business/Customer Service or equivalent.
  • Experience in providing services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and families is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Check and obtain a National Police Certificate.
Desirable Criteria
  • Current First Aid Certificate, Workplace Health and Safety Representative training, or Emergency Services qualifications.
  • Database entry and reporting skills.
  • Further qualifications or current enrolment in applicable tertiary courses.
  • Experience in an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander service.
