About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Energy and Resources Service Delivery team. As an experienced manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, quality, and delivery of operational services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, technical competency, and customer relationship management skills. They will be able to provide guidance and support to their team members, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.

Key responsibilities include planning, leading, and coordinating the E&R Lead Operational Meteorologist group to steer and foster the quality and resilience of our national operations. Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure the ongoing professional development of E&R Operational Meteorologists through mentoring, performance management, and training.

Mandatory Qualifications
  • A degree or diploma from an Australian educational institution or a comparable overseas qualification appropriate to the duties.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Lead the E&R Service Delivery team to deliver accurate, timely, and effective E&R meteorological services.
  2. Oversee the strategic direction of E&R service delivery, including the development of business cases and proposals.
  3. Coordinate studies and investigations into weather-related events, and implement improvements in forecast process, efficiency, and accuracy.
  4. Participate in the design, development, and implementation of projects aimed at improving procedures, products, and services.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical competence in meteorology, with experience in delivering high-quality services.
