About the Role

The Account Technology Strategist role at Microsoft is a unique opportunity to drive digital transformation and innovation in the education sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technology strategies that meet the evolving needs of our university customers in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Insights and Strategy
    • Develop a deep understanding of our customers' business challenges and industry trends, and provide strategic recommendations to drive innovation and growth.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technology solutions that meet customer needs and drive business outcomes.
  • Trusted Advisor
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with CXO-level stakeholders, providing thought leadership and technical guidance to drive business transformation.
    • Act as a strategic link between Microsoft and our customers, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Technology Sales and Demand Generation
    • Develop and execute demand generation plans to drive opportunities for product and solution sales.
    • Lead technical teams to drive opportunities and reach out to key stakeholders.
  • Value Proposition and Account Planning
    • Develop and communicate a clear value proposition to customers, highlighting the benefits of Microsoft technology and services.
    • Orchestrate internal teams and partner ecosystem to drive demand generation and account planning.
  • Education and Thought Leadership
    • Motivate and inspire technical resources to drive customer business transformation.
    • Deliver regular industry/technology engagements to drive execution and focus on competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience.
  • Experience engaging and managing relationships with CXO-level stakeholders, cultivating strategic partnerships.
  • Knowledge of Azure or other cloud platforms.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working within the education sector or knowledge of the industry.
  • Experience overseeing numerous accounts.
