Head of Technology and Innovation

Girton Grammar School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced educational leader to fill the role of Head of Technology. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and innovative leader who is committed to making a significant contribution to the growth of technology-related initiatives and the development of students, staff, and families within the Girton Grammar community.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum frameworks that foster technological literacy, innovative thinking, and scientific inquiry.
- Ensure that curriculum and assessment are developed, monitored, implemented, and evaluated in line with the school's pedagogical model and assessment policy and procedures.
- Lead a team of technology professionals, manage budgets, and stay current with emerging technology trends to drive innovation and enhance the educational experience.
- Contribute to teaching subjects in STEM disciplines or Mathematics from Year 7 to 12.
- Appropriate qualification and registrations as a teacher.
- Proven experience in educational leadership roles, with a track record of excellent teaching.
- Strong understanding of educational research around the science of learning and explicit instruction.
Girton Grammar School is committed to child safety and equality of opportunity. All applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. Referee checks will be undertaken prior to employment. The successful candidate will be appointed on a 3-year fixed-term position as Head of Department with an underlying ongoing teaching role.
