About the Role

We are seeking experienced tutors to join our team and provide academic support to students in a small group setting. As a tutor, you will have the opportunity to realise your passion for teaching literacy and numeracy, helping children grow their confidence and meet their goals every day.

The ideal candidate will have a strong rapport building skillset, allowing them to develop and maintain positive relationships with students and parents. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of student progress and providing verbal and written feedback to parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching students using a proven methodology
  • Tutoring students in a positive, caring manner to promote self-esteem and self-worth
  • Learning how to use state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons
  • Being available to commit to every class scheduled to teach
  • Using strong communication skills to develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents
  • Keeping accurate records of student progress and providing feedback to parents
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and attributes:

  • A teaching degree or be in the final year of your degree
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A friendly, professional, and personable manner
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Demonstrate a positive, vibrant personality
  • Confidence using software and computers
  • Genuine love for learning and teaching
  • Reliable, high attention to detail, and strong organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to teach both face-to-face in our centre and online as required by management
