Maintenance Manager Job Description

As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our buildings. This includes providing support for the management of facilities, including coordination of maintenance and capital works projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and negotiate effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordination of reactive and scheduled maintenance activities
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • Reporting on maintenance activities via the use of Urbanise
  • Coordination and maintenance of fleet vehicles
  • Liaising with maintenance contractors
  • Providing in-house maintenance as required
  • Assisting with setup of new residential properties or locations
  • Participating in building handover/defect detection inspections

Required qualifications and experience include:

  • Understanding and knowledge of relevant OHS regulations and legislation
  • Previous experience in trades or as a handyman/woman
  • Previous experience in asset coordination and facility management
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Appreciation for the sensitivities of working with vulnerable clients
  • Strong computer literacy skills and ability to use Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce programs
  • Current driver's license
