Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the Bendigo Laboratory.

  • Routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysers.
  • Pre-analytical specimen handling.
  • Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens.
  • Filing and storage of specimens with accurate data entry.
  • Providing support to Scientists as required.
  • Ongoing learning of processing requirements for different samples.
  • Staying up-to-date with processing updates.
  • Responding to result, sample requirements, and general queries.
  • Identifying and resolving pre-analytic issues.
About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to possess a great blend of skills, including:

  • Specimen processing and data entry experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Autonomy in work with minimal supervision and strong teamwork capabilities.
  • A deep understanding of the importance of accurately following procedures.
  • A commitment to adhering to departmental and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Desirable: Previous laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology.
  • Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Pathology Collection is advantageous.
