We're seeking a driven Business Development Representative to generate new business opportunities within the Education and Government sectors, including Higher Education, Government agencies, and Local Government. The ideal candidate will understand sector-specific procurement cycles, budget limitations, and decision-making processes.

Job Overview

The role involves generating qualified opportunities within Higher Education and Government sectors, developing and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, and collaborating with Account Executives to develop opportunities and approach targeted segments.

The successful candidate will have expertise in education GRC technology requirements and government compliance standards, allowing them to align outreach with fiscal year planning and budget cycles.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders, research, account mapping, and navigating complex organizations.

Sector-Specific Responsibilities
  • Built Relationships: Establish relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., IT Directors, CIOs, Procurement Officers)
  • Align Outreach: Align outreach with fiscal year planning and budget cycles
  • Develop Expertise: Develop expertise in education GRC technology requirements and government compliance standards
  • Participate in Sector Events: Participate in education conferences, government vendor fairs, and sector-specific events
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1–3 Years of B2B Sales Development Experience
  • Experience Selling to Education or Government Sectors
  • Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement and RFP/RFQ Processes
  • Strong Communication Skills
