Job Description

Broaden your experience in a rapidly growing insurance practice group with flexible work arrangements and generous leave policies. You will work on a diverse mix of insurance matters, including common law tort claims and statutory workers compensation and CTP claims.

The role involves investigating and litigating claims, and providing advice on strategy, resolution and coverage. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your skills across other areas of insurance, including public liability, regulatory investigations, medical negligence, immigration and general insurance claims.

Day-to-day tasks include direct client access, close collaboration with partners in a strong team environment, supportive training and mentoring, advisory work on coverage analysis, liability and potential non-disclosure and misrepresentation issues, assisting insurers with claims disputes, investigations and complaints, and advocacy in the courts and tribunals.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-6+ years post-admission experience in insurance
  • Experience with litigation
  • Critical analysis skills in respect of expert reports, contracts and/or legislation and regulatory documents
  • Ability to draft clear and concise communications
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in conversing with clients and other parties
