Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Overview:

This is a key role within the Chemical Pathology Laboratory, providing diagnostic services to the Central Coast Local Health District. The ideal candidate will have strong laboratory skills and be able to work efficiently in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of laboratory investigations and tests, including manual and automated tasks.
  • Undertake other laboratory duties, such as preparing materials and maintaining equipment.
  • Contribute to high-quality pathology results to support patient care and clinical outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services, including use of Laboratory Information Systems and Quality Systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
