We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Gosford Hospital on a temporary part-time basis.
This role is based within the Chemical Pathology Laboratory, providing comprehensive diagnostic services for the Central Coast Local Health District. It offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to delivering quality pathology results to support patient care and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a range of laboratory investigations and tests (manual and automated) and technical tasks by applying established methods and procedures.
- Undertake other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment in line with laboratory protocols.
- Minimum qualification of Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations.
- Knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services within a relevant discipline, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, and Quality Systems.
- Ability to work responsibly and efficiently, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes.
- Customer-focused approach with good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues in the laboratory environment.
