About Medical Laboratory Technicians


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to fill the role of Medical Laboratory Technician on a temporary part-time basis at our facility.

This position is based within the Chemical Pathology Laboratory, providing comprehensive diagnostic services for patients in the region.

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will perform a range of laboratory investigations and tests (manual and automated) and technical tasks by applying established methods and procedures.

You will also undertake other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment in line with laboratory protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory investigations and tests, and technical tasks, using established methods and procedures.
  • Undertake other laboratory duties, including preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment.
  • Work responsibly and efficiently, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Work in a team and autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services within a relevant discipline.
  • Ability to work responsibly and efficiently, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
