Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to work on a temporary part-time basis at our hospital.

This role is based within the Chemical Pathology Laboratory, providing comprehensive diagnostic services for the local community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a range of laboratory investigations and tests by applying established methods and procedures.
  • Undertake other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment in line with laboratory protocols.
Requirements:
  • Minimum qualification of Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services within a relevant discipline, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, and Quality Systems.
  • Ability to work responsibly and efficiently, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused approach with good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
