Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Acute Medical Unit and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Northern Beaches Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based care to patients in the Acute Medical Unit and CCU, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of unit-based policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including medication management, wound care, and pain management.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear and timely information exchange.
- Contribute to the education and development of junior staff members, promoting a culture of learning and growth.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an acute hospital setting, with a focus on cardiac care.
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work a rotating roster.
