The Role
As a Senior Control Systems Engineer at Mipac, you'll gain exposure to large-scale, complex projects and have opportunities to travel internationally. You'll enhance your own technical capability through diverse project work and play a key role in building capability within the teams you work with by sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop control systems solutions for mining, mineral processing, and other projects, ensuring they meet engineering standards and client requirements.
  • Use broad knowledge and skills to resolve complex engineering problems.
  • Take ownership of control system aspects within projects. Where required, develop, review, and approve project deliverables.
  • Independently produce technical documentation including reports, specifications, procedures, and manuals to a high standard.
  • Work closely with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, project alignment, and successful outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers, fostering their professional growth within the company.
  • Participate in site visits and commissioning activities to ensure control systems operate as intended in real-world environments.

Requirements

  • An Engineering degree or similar tertiary qualifications.
  • A willingness and readiness to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Experience in mining and mineral processing projects/operations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency to work independently on control systems project work.
  • Experience with generating and interpreting engineering documents such as functional descriptions, alarm registers, C&E matrix, commissioning plans, and inspection test plans.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for seamless interaction with clients and team members.
  • An interest in mentoring and developing other Engineers.
