Job Overview

This is a key leadership position in our College, responsible for ensuring that all students have access to learning opportunities that meet their diverse needs.

We are seeking an experienced educator who can work collaboratively with our Learning and Teaching Team to implement strategies that enhance participation, access and engagement in learning for all students.

The Head of Learning Diversity will lead the Learning Diversity Department and ensure that staff are supported in delivering effective and inclusive teaching practices.

This includes working closely with students, staff, parents and external agencies to understand the needs of our students and to develop and implement strategies to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Learning Diversity Department and ensure that staff are supported in delivering effective and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the Deputy Principal Learning and Teaching to maintain a focus on learning across the College.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance participation, access and engagement in learning for all students.
  • Support staff in delivering contemporary and effective learning opportunities that meet the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with students, staff, parents and external agencies to understand the needs of our students and to develop and implement strategies to meet those needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve excellent outcomes for students.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and an understanding of the importance of charism and spiritual tradition in the life of an order-owned Catholic school.
  • Experienced and highly effective teacher in secondary education with experience working as a special education teacher/leader in a secondary school context desirable.
