Our software development team creates and manages crucial software and services that support our business operations. We are trusted partners, skilled engineers, and digital transformation leaders who empower us to keep pace with the rapidly changing technology landscape.
We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing staff programmer to join our software engineering team. Our programmers work in multidisciplinary teams with other backend and frontend engineers, DevOps, product managers, and IT infrastructure teams to develop innovative solutions.
As a staff programmer on our software engineering team, you will develop both our customer-facing web applications and back-end systems that power interactions between our customers and our systems. Your success directly impacts our customers' experience and their ability to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software systems using technologies like .NET Core, C#, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, Azure cloud resources, and REST APIs.
- Integrate systems, including Salesforce, Workday, and our Engineering System.
- Administer API documentation libraries using Swagger / OpenAPI (Swashbuckle).
- Work with a Scrum team to plan, prioritize, and deliver work.
- Solve defects within our operational software baseline and ensure technical debt is tracked and planned as part of the Scrum process.
- Support existing structures and pipelines.
- Improve software quality through adherence to standards, static analysis, unit testing, logging, proactive alerting, and monitoring.
- Deliver results that improve the operational efficiency and security of our software development lifecycle environment.
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand their needs and identify opportunities.
- Participate in a non-call rotation.
- Explore emerging technologies and apply new learnings to improve system building through refactoring, modernization, and automation.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software development.
- Fundamental understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of secure coding practices based on OWASP standards.
- Experience with Microsoft C# / .NET.
- Experience building and consuming REST Web Services; familiarity with code versioning, Git preferred.
- Experience developing applications using Angular.
- Understanding and application of agile principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by business priorities.
