AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We build facilities that create the cloud, ensuring successful delivery of sites, power, cooling, and supporting infrastructure to provide continual access to customer innovation. We work on challenging problems and are looking for talented people to help.

You will work with a diverse team of engineers, architects, construction managers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to ensure successful delivery. You will collaborate across AWS to maintain high safety and security standards while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers, and you will experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional and technical teams to deliver new data centres, covering strategy, design, budget, implementation, testing, deployment, and all dependencies needed for delivery.
  • Engage with customers, partners, and suppliers to understand business goals and priorities; execute rapidly to deliver high-quality results.
  • Manage remote project delivery teams, facilitate technical sessions, troubleshoot issues, remove barriers to project success, and build cross-functional matrix-based teams.
  • Establish trust with stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate unnecessary activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and accelerate delivery.
  • Apply project management disciplines across scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risk, reporting, and metrics; utilize MS Office, MS Project, and MS SharePoint.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software)
  • Ability to solve ambiguous, complex problems and collaborate with partner teams to develop innovative solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to deep dive and define infrastructure requirements
