About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Consultant - Speech Pathology to join our team at Healthcare Staffing. As a Senior Clinical Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centered services to clients with diverse care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gathering Information: Use standardized assessments, interviews, observations, and play-based approaches to gather information about clients' needs.
  • Conducting Assessments: Collaborate with individuals, families, and key stakeholders to conduct assessments and develop realistic, functional, and person-centered goals.
  • Developing Treatment Plans: Create treatment and therapy plans tailored to the individual needs of children, young people, and adults with a wide range of presentations.
  • Monitoring Progress: Regularly monitor and evaluate progress and outcomes, and amend plans accordingly.
  • Liaising with Stakeholders: Liaise, educate, support, and mentor parents and families, educators, staff, and other professionals involved in an individual's care.
  • Providing Training: Offer training in key areas such as communication, speech and language, mealtime management, Augmentative and Alternate Communication strategies and devices, meaningful engagement, etc.
  • Participating in Complex Projects: Participate in complex clinical allocations, projects, and systemic interventions in accordance with area/s of practice expertise.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor consultant teams on both formal and informal bases, including working in line with approved clinician development frameworks.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A degree in Speech Pathology and certified practicing membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Skills: Experience or interest in working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs; conducting Communication assessments, treatment planning, and intervention for children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of presentations; and Mealtime Management.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of A$80,000 to A$90,000 annually, depending on experience.
