Job Overview

The role of a Senior Mechanical Designer is a key position within our engineering team. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this individual will work closely with the lead drafter to provide support and expertise in drafting new designs from concept.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting new designs using Inventor and Vault Software
  • Preparing designs for Finite Element Analysis purposes
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to ensure project deliverables meet expectations
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure high-quality outcomes

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in design drafting
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Heavy industry experience
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in liaising with customers and suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Inventor and Vault Software
  • Previous experience in the heavy industry
