Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team on a 12-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented designer to utilise their knowledge and experience in steel fabrication and heavy industry equipment design, modelling and drafting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare high-quality CAD models and drawings from supplied information using Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Provide input to product design and improvements based on previous knowledge and experience.
  • Analyse design problems and develop efficient solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Understand manufacturing processes and look for opportunities to simplify design for efficient fabrication.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure all design and drafting requirements are addressed.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency using Inventor, Vault and AutoCAD.
  • High attention to detail and methodical approach to design and drafting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using ERP systems (preferably SAP).
