About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator/Cost Planner to join our Brisbane team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing cost planning strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed cost plans for construction projects, including multi-story residential, retail, and industrial developments.
  • Collaborate with operational team members to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates and reports to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
  • Conduct post-tender negotiations and ensure that all contractual agreements are accurately reflected in the cost plan.
  • Work closely with the construction team to ensure that all project costs are accurately accounted for and that the project is delivered within budget.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in cost planning and estimating for construction projects, with a strong understanding of cost management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex cost planning issues.
  • Proficiency in cost planning software, including Buildsoft and/or Cost X.
  • Strong understanding of construction industry trends and best practices.
