About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Design to lead our Rhodes-based team and drive the success of our industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee preconstruction design activities across multiple construction projects, ensuring efficient and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Lead and grow a high-performing design and preconstruction team that consistently exceeds client expectations.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective and efficient project outcomes.
  • Advise on project design schedules, budgets, buildability, and methodology.
  • Review project specifications and contracts to identify design requirements and constraints.
  • Identify and resolve design-related issues in partnership with relevant parties.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project design status.
About You

We are looking for a seasoned design professional with a strong preconstruction background and a proven ability to lead high-performing design teams.

You should have:

  • 10-15 years' design management experience in construction.
  • At least 5 years leading design teams with proven accountability.
  • Industrial project experience ranging from $10 M to $50 M+.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and high initiative.
  • Proficient in project management tools/software like CAD and Blue Beam.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and standards.
