Job Title

As a mechanical fitter, you will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance across our region. Your day-to-day activities include partnering with various organizations to deliver design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services.

Key Requirements:

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
  • Australian Drivers Licence
  • Physical fitness

Working Conditions:

  • Hourly rate: $47.82
  • Additional $2 per hour for working at treatment plants
  • Afternoon shift is paid at 15% premium plus on-call allowance of $111 per day

Asset Types Requiring Maintenance:

  • Chemical dosing equipment experience
  • Wastewater and water pumping stations and associated equipment
  • Low pressure and vacuum systems
  • Mixers, blower, gearboxes, skimmers, actuators, and valves
  • Generator maintenance servicing, connections during outages
  • Wastewater treatment plants

Responsibilities:

  • Accountability for safely conducting role within D4C and Sydney Water's safety, compliance, and environmental policies
  • Perform planned maintenance ensuring compliance and safety of plant and equipment
  • Responsive maintenance to equipment faults on shift
