The Opportunity

Our Springhill-Port Kembla Manufacturing facility seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our Paint and Finishing Maintenance team based in Springhill-Port Kembla.

In this vital role, you'll use technical expertise to coordinate routine maintenance work involving structural steel, wall & roofing, Buildings & Facilities maintenance, minor civil works, and surrounding grounds maintenance.

Your responsibilities include planning and organizing day-to-day maintenance and upcoming scheduled works, contributing to the team with out-of-hours support, and seeking ways to continuously improve maintenance strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience as a qualified Mechanical Fitter/Machinist or Engineering Fabrication
  • Experience in maintenance of steel structures/buildings is preferred
  • Proven exposure to maintenance management systems and basic computer skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn new skills and develop yourself in the role
