About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Technician to join our team based out of Mackay. As a key member of our Central Queensland region team, you will work closely with other technicians to identify, service and repair fire protection safety systems and equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting and servicing fire protection equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Completing maintenance records accurately and efficiently using handheld technology.
  • Participating in stock takes and managing inventory levels.
  • Compiling reports on your work.
  • Surveying customer premises to identify opportunities for improving fire protection and safety.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification and QBCC license to practice as a Sprinkler Fitter with special hazards.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of products and industry standards.
  • An understanding of Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment.
  • The ability to complete company training and accreditation programs.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results for our clients.
  • Experience using field service information technology applications.
