About the Role

The Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) is a key leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to the Procurement function at Cenitex. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in procurement, governance, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with VGPB supply policies and maintain a robust procurement governance framework.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies, processes, and assurance controls to ensure a consistent and standardized approach.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on procurement matters, promoting innovative practices and supporting business and policy directions.
  • Establish and manage relationships with key stakeholders to deliver strategic insights, resolve complex issues, and drive high-performance outcomes.
  • Lead the procurement team and cross-functional working groups, overseeing the management of critical commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical, and supply chain risks.
  • Prepare annual reports and ensure the procurement function meets legislative and governance requirements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in procurement, with postgraduate qualifications and membership in a professional accredited organization such as CIPS highly desirable.
