About the Division

The Procurement Division supports the Department's core functions and strategic priorities by ensuring excellence in goods and services procurement practices.

The Corporate Procurement Branch supports and advises on goods and services procurements undertaken by business areas across the Department.

Corporate Procurement sourcing teams undertake procurement planning and strategy development, as well as leading sourcing activities end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide commercial and procurement expertise, advice, and assistance to internal stakeholders, particularly on ICT procurements.
  2. Assist business areas to deliver sourcing activities end-to-end, incorporating strategy development, tender documentation, evaluation, negotiation, and award.
  3. Develop procurement strategies and manage procurement categories under the direction of the Procurement Manager to leverage opportunities and benefits for the Department.
  4. Provide advice, input, and intelligence on procurement activity to the Procurement Manager for reporting purposes.
  5. Apply critical thinking to benchmark, research, and assess the market, determine risks, and analyse competition.
  6. Analyse trends and new opportunities to ensure best value is achieved for the Department.
  7. Work on Division strategic projects in line with Division objectives.
  8. Undertake duties as required for procurement-related matters.

This role requires strong procurement sourcing experience, exceptional organisation and planning skills, and dedication to achieving client satisfaction while maintaining a quality service adhering to procurement policy and processes.

Your capacity for collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and cultivating genuine relationships will be pivotal for your success.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field.

5+ years of procurement sourcing experience with experience in high complexity, high value procurements.

ICT procurement experience will be highly regarded.
