Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Develop, implement, and manage procurement and governance frameworks, policies, procedures, systems, and standards across the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Lead the Procurement Function: Lead the procurement function to deliver best-in-class services with a strong focus on value for money, good governance, and enhancing organizational capability.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships and influential relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including executives, government, industry, and the supply chain.
- Provide Strategic Advice: Provide authoritative, strategic advice and expertise to senior executives and staff on complex procurement-related matters, driving value for money across the procurement lifecycle.
- Senior Leadership Experience: Demonstrated senior experience in leadership roles of a procurement function for a government delivery agency or equivalent, including expertise in key procurement functions such as strategic sourcing, category management, purchase to pay, governance, and contract management.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate key messages to staff at different levels across the organization and review and approve a wide variety of documentation.
- Relevant Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, engineering, economics, or a related procurement discipline.
