Procurement Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Director to join our team at the State Government of Victoria, Australia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing procurement and governance frameworks, policies, procedures, systems, and standards across our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of procurement and governance frameworks, policies, procedures, systems, and standards to ensure compliance with government policies.
- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships and influential relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including executives, government, industry, and the supply chain.
- Provide authoritative, strategic advice and expertise to senior executives and staff on complex procurement-related matters and drive value for money across the procurement lifecycle.
- Lead the procurement function to deliver best-in-class services with a strong focus on value for money, good governance, and enhancing organizational capability.
- Demonstrated senior experience in leadership roles of a procurement function for a government delivery agency, including expertise in key procurement functions such as strategic sourcing, category management, purchase to pay, governance, and contract management.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate key messages to staff at different levels across the organization.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, engineering, economics, or a related procurement discipline.
