Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our bio-pharmaceutical products and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with clients and project managers to ensure their quality requirements are met.
  • Collaborating with QC labs, QA, program management, warehouse and logistics, and third-party contract labs.
  • Generating shipping documentation and sample submission forms for testing at external facilities.
  • Performing aseptic aliquoting of bulk samples.
  • SUPPORTING quality control laboratory teams to ensure relevant testing is performed on time and in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Knowledge of change control, deviations, CAPA, OOS, and OOT, document management, related to quality systems operating on the Brisbane site.
  • Practical application of various risk assessment tools (e.g., failure mode effect analysis, fishbone diagrams, hazard and operability studies).

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Bio-Technology, Chemistry, or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 years' industry experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry aligned to analytical and quality control fields.
  • Knowledge of test method development, qualification, validation.
  • Must be knowledgeable in cGMP practices and quality management systems (QMS) including experience with deviations, CAPA, OOS, OOT, document management, change control etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in multiple modalities (e.g., electronic, written, verbal).]

You will also need to possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
