Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Controls Specialist to provide expert engineering support for project development and implementation. This role will ensure the design of safe, efficient, and cost-effective control systems that meet regulatory standards.

  • Develop fit-for-purpose control system designs to enhance value and improve project NPV.
  • Maintain compliance with industry and international standards for safe operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost reduction and resource optimization.
  • Balance risk and reward for facilities with low lifecycle costs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Ensure alignment with operating philosophy and maintain a fit-for-purpose development design catalogue.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position requiring 10+ years of experience in control systems engineering within the oil and gas or similar industries. The ideal candidate will have expertise in relevant Australian and industry standards, hold Chartered Engineer certification, and preferably be a Certified Functional Safety Engineer. A bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Control Systems Engineering is essential, with a postgraduate qualification in Project Management being desirable.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
