Job Title:

Principal Research Advisor

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the delivery of high-priority projects focused on reducing road trauma in Queensland.

This role serves as a key coordination point between agencies to provide insights to decision makers on the Queensland Road Safety Governance Board.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to communicate behavioral science concepts and develop recommendations for policy directions or interventions.
  • Develop comprehensive road safety statistical reports and present findings to the QRS Governance Board to inform decision making and prioritization of road safety funding.
  • Promote the division's research and development efforts on road safety policies and interventions through active participation in relevant committees and working groups.

The successful applicant will conduct strategic research and evaluations that reflect best practices nationally and internationally, responding to government priorities and contributing to improved outcomes for the community.

They will build and maintain networks and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, obtaining input from stakeholders in preparation of high-level advice.
