**About QIMR Berghofer**:
QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Cancer, Infection and Inflammation, Brain and Mental Health, and Population Health. Based in Herston, Brisbane and working in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes, QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.

**About Your Lab**:
**Role Purpose / Responsibilities**:

- You will develop and perform CRISPR screens _in vivo_ and _in vitro_.
- You will perform in vivo studies of cancer development in mice challenged with different diets.
- You will perform in vitro cancer studies - a special focus will be on the mitochondria.

**About you**:
To be successful in this position:

- You are required to have obtained a PhD degree in a relevant field - preferably in cancer metabolism.
- You are required to have previous experience with CRISPR screens.
- You are required to have practical experience with in vivo mouse models of breast cancer.
- You have experience working with mitochondrial analysis.
- You have experience working with gene manipulation through lenti
- and/or retroviral vectors.
- You have experience with grant writing.

**Remuneration**:Salary range is $ 96,100 to $103,108 plus super and generous salary packaging. This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 2 years.
