
Perinatal Care Specialist

The position involves providing high-quality perinatal care to women and newborns. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
This role requires a professional with clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework. They will be responsible for planning, delivering, and coordinating women and newborn care.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife is essential. Relevant post-registration qualifications and experience in provision of antenatal, intrapartum, and post-natal midwifery services are required.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying advanced clinical knowledge in relation to clinical midwifery practice is necessary.
The Clinical Midwifery Specialist will demonstrate leadership in the care of antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal women. They will develop standards of practice, implement changes to clinical practice, and initiate research and quality improvement activities.
Requirements:Extensive experience working in the provision of antenatal, intrapartum, and post-natal midwifery services is required. This includes evidence of clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework.
A demonstrated ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical midwifery practice is also necessary. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' relevant post-registration qualifications and experience.
