About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team in delivering exceptional support services to young people with disabilities. Your role will be pivotal in empowering these individuals to achieve their goals, enhance their quality of life, and build meaningful relationships.

  • Provide one-on-one support to young clients, fostering independence, confidence, and resilience.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support clients to participate in community activities, education, and recreational programs that promote engagement and social skills.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and stakeholders through effective communication and empathy.
  • Implement individualized support plans, monitor progress, and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A genuine passion for working with young people and making a positive impact on their lives.
  • Experience in disability support, youth work, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • A Federal Police Check and relevant clearances.
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Comprehensive insurance on that vehicle.
  • A Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
