Role Overview

Hilti Australia is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our customer base in the Western Australian mining industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individual account strategies to build long-term, sustainable, and profitable relationships with customers.
  • Perform field sales and high-level customer consultation in the defined territory within the mining industry.
  • Identify new business opportunities and negotiate trade agreements to secure and maximize profitability for customers.
  • Travel to remote areas to improve Hilti's coverage, penetrate existing mine sites, and capitalize on construction activity.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative, or customer-facing role.
  • Experience working within the construction and mining industries is advantageous.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Solution selling and customer-centric approach.
  • A valid Australian driver's license.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite, smartphones, and experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM is desirable.
  • Motivated and capable of working independently, managing your own call cycle.
  • Strong discipline, with the ability to manage accounts remotely and build relationships.
  • Proven negotiation and influencing abilities with advanced planning skills.
