We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team at our Randwick campus. This key role will have you working closely with highly skilled and committed teams focused on dementia care.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, current registration as an Occupational Therapist with APHRA, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in the field.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management and priority setting skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. A genuine interest and desire to work with older members of the community is essential.
About the Role- To provide high-quality occupational therapy services to residents, promoting their independence and quality of life
- To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal resident outcomes
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with APHRA
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience with pressure area care, cognitive/dementia screening tools (ACL desirable), seating and wheelchair prescription, functional assessments, falls prevention and equipment prescription
- A passion for working with people who live with moderate-severe dementia
- Efficient time management and priority setting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
