As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and promotes gender equity. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of Gender Equity Action Plans, ensuring compliance and progress reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gender Equity Action Plan Management
    • Develop and implement current and future plans, focusing on promoting positive change and inclusivity within the organization.
  • People Plan Strategy Implementation
    • Lead the implementation of actions outlined in the People Plan Strategy, with a focus on creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Professional Development Program
    • Create and lead ongoing professional development initiatives related to legislation pertinent to gender equity, anti-discrimination, and prevention of sexual harassment.
  • Social Justice Charter Leadership
    • Lead the management and support of the Social Justice Charter and associated Action Plan, fostering an environment of inclusivity and fairness.
  • Belonging and Inclusion Planning
    • Develop and manage Belonging and Inclusion Plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
  • Prevention and Response Strategies
    • Develop and lead efforts to prevent and respond to sexual harassment and family violence within the organization.
  • Governance and Reporting Obligations
    • Manage governance requirements and reporting obligations associated with the role, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Feedback Review and Analysis
    • Review and lead strategies based on feedback from the People Matter Survey related to gender equity, discrimination, sexual harassment, and belonging and inclusion.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of gender equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to gender equity, anti-discrimination, and sexual harassment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change initiatives, fostering a culture of belonging and inclusivity.
  • Relevant qualifications in HR, diversity and inclusion, or a related field are highly desirable.
