Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll transactions efficiently.
- Collect, calculate and enter data to maintain accurate payroll information.
- Compile earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, commissions, wages and allowances for reporting purposes.
- Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee income, taxes and workers' compensation payments.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Follow established payroll operations procedures and policies.
- Develop ad-hoc financial and operational reports as required.
- Process payroll variations and updates.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to entitlements and benefits.
- Apply knowledge of employment legislation to ensure compliance.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines.
We are seeking a Payroll Officer with relevant skills and qualifications. A Cert III in Business or Financial Services is essential. A degree in finance or economics is beneficial but not essential.
