Accounts Payable and Financial Operations Specialist

**Accounts Payable Professional Role:**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional to join our team.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing full-cycle Accounts Payable tasks, processing weekly payment disbursements, and managing month-end close processes around payables and accruals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Process Management:
- Validate charges, perform 3-way matching, review invoices for proper documentation, obtain approval, and verify GL coding.
- Process weekly payment disbursements, including check runs, vendor ACH, and wire payments.
- Manage month-end close processes around payables and accruals.
- Vendor Management:
- Verify approvals on all vendor documentation.
- Scan vendor documentation into electronic workflow.
- Owning the vendor master file, including adding new vendors, updating vendor records, and other related tasks.
- Support Services:
- Supporting information requested in conjunction with audits.
- Providing ad-hoc analysis of expenses as needed.
- Co-administering the expense reimbursement platform, including training, reporting, and problem resolution.
- Managing and monitoring the AP email inbox to ensure timely processing of invoices.
- Responding to vendor or employee inquiries to reconcile account statements, resolve payment processing issues, discrepancies, or any other related transactions in a timely manner.
- Reviewing company credit card reconciliations and recording charges.
- Performing administrative duties as assigned.
- Assisting with providing information needed for contract renewals.
- Co-administering the travel platform, including employee setup, changing user access, approving travel requests, and reporting.
- Assisting with purchasing.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
- A strong understanding of the Accounts Payable process.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- NetSuite experience is preferred but not necessary.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Solid accounting and analytical skills gained either through qualification or experience.
- Good organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to prioritize.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attentive, able to work independently, and prioritize tasks.
