Liability Insurance Claims Manager

This role plays a vital part in delivering claims management services to clients across the public sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of complex, high-value Public Liability and Professional Indemnity claims.
- Accurate reserving and claims investigation.
- Effective negotiation with third parties.
- Attending mediations and negotiations with panel solicitors and plaintiff solicitors.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including reinsurers.
- Regular reporting of large and/or contentious claims internally and externally.
- Developing and implementing strategies to manage claims costs.
- Providing expert advice on liability insurance matters.
- Managing and maintaining client relationships.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective claims resolution.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in liability insurance, particularly public liability and professional indemnity.
- Tertiary qualifications in Law and/or experience in managing complex liability claims.
- Thorough understanding of common law principles and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong customer service approach and ability to develop positive client relationships.
